PUG Challenge - Sponsor & Participant Code of Conduct

PUG Challenge is a community-driven event, organised by volunteers to bring together Progress technology users, partners, and enthusiasts.

Our goal is to create a professional, friendly, and collaborative environment for everyone involved.

We expect all participants and sponsors to:

  • Act with respect, professionalism, and courtesy
  • Communicate in a friendly and constructive manner
  • Support a collaborative, not competitive, atmosphere
  • Respect the event organisers, volunteers, and fellow participants

2. Sponsor Area Guidelines

To ensure fairness and a positive experience for all sponsors:

  • Stand sizes and roll-ups must follow agreed specifications
(e.g. standard roll-up size unless explicitly approved)
  • Sponsor placement is assigned by the organisers
and must be respected without dispute
  • Sponsors are expected to:
    • Respect neighbouring sponsors
    • Avoid aggressive or disruptive behaviour
    • Maintain a professional and welcoming presence

3. Communication & Behaviour

We do not tolerate:

  • Aggressive, demanding, or disrespectful behaviour
  • Public or private disputes over placement or visibility
  • Pressure on organisers or volunteers

All discussions should be handled in a calm, respectful, and solution-oriented way.

4. Volunteer Respect

PUG Challenge is organised by volunteers.

We ask all sponsors and participants to:

  • Respect the time and effort of the organising team
  • Communicate requests clearly and reasonably
  • Understand that decisions are made to ensure fairness for all

5. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Immediate corrective actions during the event
  • Monetary penalties (e.g. additional costs caused by non-compliance)
  • Restriction or removal from the event in serious cases
  • Exclusion from future PUG Challenge events

6. Our Shared Goal
