PUG Challenge is built by the community, for the community. We welcome proposals from professionals at all stages of their careers and from all backgrounds.

New to public speaking? You’re welcome here. We actively support emerging voices in the OpenEdge community and offer:
  • Speaker Apprentice Program – mentorship from experienced speakers
  • Lightning Talks – a shorter format to get started
  • Public Speaking Workshops – pre-conference coaching and guidance

Submission Guidelines

Please include the following in your proposal:

Personal Information

  • Full name
  • Title / Position
  • Company / Organization
  • Email address
  • Optional: LinkedIn profile or website

Speaker Photo

  • Professional headshot
    High resolution (minimum 1,000–1,500 px width, ideally 300 dpi)
  • Neutral or clean background
  • Taken within the last 2–3 years
  • Format: JPG or PNG

Short Biography

  • 150–200 words including your current role, expertise, and relevant experience.
Session Details
  • Session title
  • Full session description (for review)
  • Short abstract (150–300 words for website publication) *
  • Format indication: 60-minute session or 3-hour workshop
  • Preferred Location (Providence, Amsterdam, or both)
* Must be clearly written and structured. Maximum one bullet point level is allowed. No nested bullet points.

How to Submit

Submit your proposal as a Microsoft Word or plain text document attached to an email. If submitting multiple sessions, please use separate attachments.

Later submissions may be considered as scheduling allows.

Review & Selection Process

All submissions are reviewed to ensure a high-quality and balanced event program.

The organizers reserve the right not to include or publish sessions, workshops, or related materials (including photos and biographies) that do not meet the stated requirements.

Selected sessions may be published on the website and promoted through PUG Challenge communication channels and social media.

Later submissions may be considered depending on scheduling availability.
