OpenEdge 12.7 has introduced support for using .NET core (officially .NET 5 and up) – for now only on Windows, making appetite for support of .NET core on other platforms too. In this presentation we will introduce the support for .NET core in the OpenEdge runtime along with use cases and challenges. We will also compare it to the support for the classic .NET framework introduced in OpenEdge 10.2A (roughly 15 years ago).
