Reporting is an important component of any business application, given the increased volume of data available today from various sources being able to make decisions for day-today operations (operational reporting) and understand the trends and patterns to (try) to foresee the future becomes more and more difficult. Terms like analytics, data warehouse, data mining were previously common to large business only (telecom, retail, financial) and products/solutions were often too expensive for small and medium businesses. This session is more about sharing experiences in that area – in and out of Progress OpenEdge world – review some of the available solutions and what it means to integrate such functionality in regular business applications built on OpenEdge technology.
